One of our most treasured volunteers is of course, Ratty boy, or as we call him “Real Muscular Rat”. He came to our program when we found him drinking curdled milk in a ditch a few years ago. While his fur was matted, and his eyes were bloodshot, he fit right in with our kids (probably because of those things). Nowadays, you can find him at workshops gnawing blankly on a piece of metal, or affectionately scratching at ankles. If you come to see him, make sure you bring him a ladle of sewer goo, one of his favorite delicacies (we assume it reminds him of home). Watch him skuttle, squirm, or flop around with us! Come to Denver Writes today and meet this wee little guy yourself.
