Colorado Gives Day is December 10th, but ANY donation made to Denver Writes between November 1st and December 10th will count towards our entire Colorado Gives Day total which determines how much of the Colorado Gives Day fund we’ll receive.
While this total is made up of all donations made to Denver Writes (including donations made via Cash, Check, Paypal, Venmo, and the Colorado Gives Day website), we encourage everyone to donate directly through the Colorado Gives Website, as those donations allow us to be entered in additional grant and prize giveaways. Donations made on key days like Giving Tuesday December 3rd, and at key days and HOURS in the week leading up to December 10th will also help us become eligible for even more additional grants and prizes.
Setting up a reoccurring donation through Colorado Gives in any amount from $10 – $100 will be matched by Colorado Gives. If we are one of the first 50 organizations to reach $1000, Delta Dental of Colorado will donate an additional $1000.
We are very grateful for our incredible community and very blessed for all of the donations so many of you have made over the years. Denver Writes does not receive grants or funding from major sources. We survive mainly on the donations and generosity of our community. We encourage everyone to share our Colorado Gives Day information with friends and family, on social media, and with anyone who might also believe that what we are doing at Denver Writes is worth continuing.

Donation Guide
A $25 Donation will provide snacks and supplies for our monthly workshops.
We offer workshops August – April
A $50 Donation will provide snacks and supplies for our weekly creative writing club.
We offer creative writing club four times a week at locations throughout the Denver Metro Area.
A $100 Donation will provide snacks and supplies for a summer camp.
We offered three summer camps in 2024.
A $200 Donation will provide special events to our programing.
We were able to have an ice cream day and a pizza day for all three of our 2024 summer camps.
A $300 Donation will cover the cost of a scholarship to one of our camps.
We were able to offer a scholarships in all three of our 2024 summer camps
A $500 Donation will fund a publication of our participant’s writing.
We wish to resume regular publications, with a goal of three per year.
A $1000 Donation will fully fund a summer camp.
In 2024 we were able to offer a stipend to all three of our summer camps instructors
Snack Donations
Denver Writes will also take snack donations for our workshops, camps, or afternoon clubs. Due to allergies, we ask for items without peanuts.
